Creating a “Summer Bucket List”

This is going to be a quick and fun post! Every year when I was a kid, my mom would gather my five younger siblings and I together to make a summer bucket list! We’d all shout out different things we wanted to do before the summer came and went and she would jot them down on paper.

Now as an adult, with my own little growing family, there is something nostalgic about physically writing out a summer bucket list! With everything being electronic these days, it’s nice to have a physical piece of paper to hang on your fridge and look at all summer! Plus, it’s so fun to be able to cross things off as you go!

I love making lists but, even more, I love making lists that I actually WANT to accomplish! ? Summertime is my favorite. However, like every season, it comes and goes so fast! If we don’t take advantage of the time we have and plan things, it will slip away from us! Living in the Midwest is awesome because, we get to enjoy all 4 seasons! The thing is, you really have to consciously make a plan and enjoy each season before it’s time to change again!

During the summertime I try to center my life around being outside! (Heck, I always center my life around the outdoors!) We midwesterners, just don’t have that luxury all year round! Unfortunately, it stays cold longer than it does warm and, during the winter months we don’t see much of the sun! I chose things for my bucket list that are mostly inexpensive and simple and mostly allow us to take advantage of the hot and sunny weather! I also chose things that we enjoy but, we can include our 19 month old daughter in as well!

I’m attaching a photo of our bucket list below! Feel free to borrow some ideas and create your own Summer Bucket List! Get creative! Use some water colors or pretty pens, paper or stickers! Feel free to tag me or share YOUR bucket list! Happy SUMMERTIME, friends! I hope you all have a blessed and safe Fourth of July weekend! Until next time!
