Life Update and Announcements + Giveaway with Jord Wood Watches

Hi guys! I’m so sorry I’ve been seriously MIA lately! This has been one of the busiest times in my life in a while! So many exciting changes have been brewing but, I’ve having a hard time trying to keep up! I feel like my head has been spinning!
First, we found out we were pregnant! We found out a week before I even missed my period! We were joyously, ecstatic! We began telling our family and friends right away! We were planning to share on social media right away too. Literally, the only reason we didn’t was because we’ve been so busy, we just now got around to taking an announcement photo! ? The good news is, I’m finally through my first trimester and you haven’t once had to hear me complain about feeling sick, being constipated or hating coffee!! ???  You can thank me now!! Oh the joys of the first trimester!

Secondly, we are in the process of buying our first home!! This is something we have been praying about for over 6 months now! We are buying a fixer upper!! We’re so excited (we’ve been channeling our inner Chip and Joanna Gaines!) Literally, I feel like we’ve hit a roadblock every step of the way but, Jesus is our provision and He has proved faithful through every step as well! It’s been exhausting to say the least but, we’re seeing a light at the end of the tunnel! Please pray for us as we finish the process. We are hoping to have things finalized soon!!!!

Thirdly, I started my own business!!! This was one of those Jesus led surprises that was unexpected but, also a serious answer to prayers. When I was in middle school I wanted to open my own my own bake shoppe. However, as I grew up I realized that I’m too much of an “on the move” and “passionate” person to own that type of business. That leads me to now and the start of, “Tiffany’s Lake House Biscotti” I have been given the opportunity to bake at home and have my biscotti sold alongside some great coffee at the local River Road Coffeehouses! I have been working for this amazing company for 3 years! When Pal came along I decided to only work a few hours a week but, it’s something I love and can’t give up! Now, I have the best of both worlds! This is such a blessing and also gives me something to fall back on when it comes time for maternity leave! It’s been crazy starting out! Having such a small space (aka, our “box apartment”) to bake such large quantities has been a challenge but, that just makes me more excited that we’re buying a house!

Now, all of that leads me to an amazing giveaway I get to share with you!! With everything that has been going on in my life lately, I’ve really had to prioritize my time. Combine that, with the fact that all of my clothes are beginning to fit too tightly and, I’ve been focusing on a few versatile essentials! A couple of my favorites have been my denim overalls (which allow room to grow) and my Jord wood watch. I absolutely adore Jord! This is my second time teaming up with them. Mason also has a Jord timepiece and his has proven faithful.
I was so excited to receive my own Jord timepiece. I chose a watch from the Frankie series in Zebrawood and Navy. You can shop my exact watch here. I love the color of the wood! I think it’s absolutely perfect for transitioning to fall! Check out the gorgeous detail of the wood in my photos below

A tidbit of advice I’ve been incorporating into my wardrobe/life in general these days is, “Quality over quantity.” I’m a busy mom so, having things that are easy to put together, don’t require much time and effort but, still allow me to look great are my jam! Also, I live in a small space, which has caused me to realize that material “things” take up a lot of space and time. As my pastor recently said, “Everything you own owns a little bit of you.” How true! That is why I love my Jord watch! It’s simple, classic, purposeful, high quality and beautiful. I love that its made of natural elements! That too, is totally my jam! I can wear it with a pair of jeans, a tee, and a comfy cardigan or I can play it up with a pretty dress and a pair of leather booties. When I’m on the go it’s a simple way for me to look “put together” and make a statement.

AN ADDED BONUS: Not only are Jord watches beautiful and high quality but, so is their packaging! Jord’s packaging is something I truly appreciate about the company! They definitely don’t take any shortcuts. Each watch comes in a beautiful wooden box that is pretty enough to display on your dresser or nightstand. They also provide a cleaning tool and cloth with each watch so, you can keep it looking beautiful for years to come!

I will be giving one of YOU a $100 gift certificate to JORD!!! I’m so excited! Enter HERE! Contest ends on 9/24! RUN DON’T WALK PEOPLE.

    Creating a “Summer Bucket List”

This is going to be a quick and fun post! Every year when I was a kid, my mom would gather my five younger siblings and I together to make a summer bucket list! We’d all shout out different things we wanted to do before the summer came and went and she would jot them down on paper.

Now as an adult, with my own little growing family, there is something nostalgic about physically writing out a summer bucket list! With everything being electronic these days, it’s nice to have a physical piece of paper to hang on your fridge and look at all summer! Plus, it’s so fun to be able to cross things off as you go!

I love making lists but, even more, I love making lists that I actually WANT to accomplish! ? Summertime is my favorite. However, like every season, it comes and goes so fast! If we don’t take advantage of the time we have and plan things, it will slip away from us! Living in the Midwest is awesome because, we get to enjoy all 4 seasons! The thing is, you really have to consciously make a plan and enjoy each season before it’s time to change again!

During the summertime I try to center my life around being outside! (Heck, I always center my life around the outdoors!) We midwesterners, just don’t have that luxury all year round! Unfortunately, it stays cold longer than it does warm and, during the winter months we don’t see much of the sun! I chose things for my bucket list that are mostly inexpensive and simple and mostly allow us to take advantage of the hot and sunny weather! I also chose things that we enjoy but, we can include our 19 month old daughter in as well!

I’m attaching a photo of our bucket list below! Feel free to borrow some ideas and create your own Summer Bucket List! Get creative! Use some water colors or pretty pens, paper or stickers! Feel free to tag me or share YOUR bucket list! Happy SUMMERTIME, friends! I hope you all have a blessed and safe Fourth of July weekend! Until next time!
